Hand Etched Custom MonumentsI provide artistic custom hand etched monuments on black granite, and offer a different approach to customizing a monument for my clients. All of my etchings starts with an idea for the design then it's translated to a drawing and from that is hand etched into the stone with diamond tipped bits, hand etching provides a artistic look to the monument, unlike laser etching which can look plain and flat. Etching designs must be on black granite, deep reds , mahogany or dark gray granite material. Other color stones are very difficult to etch on. The etchings can be monotone (different shades of whites and grays on the background color of the stone) or full color (like a painting).
Standard Etchings Color EtchingsMost custom etchings start with photo's, depending on what you want or have in mind. You may want to personalize your monument and make it one of a kind, or choose from a standard scene. I can combine photos to create a scene of your old home place, favorite camping spot, or favorite vacation picture. I can use anything to create a design just for you, multiple photos, pictures from a magazine or brochure. The possibilities are endless, Portraits of the whole family, wedding photo's, favorite hobbies.
